What Oprantis Is

Oprantis is an AI-powered receptionist platform for service businesses. The platform’s AI agent, Aria, answers every inbound call, qualifies the lead through structured intake, schedules consultations or appointments, and routes urgent matters appropriately. Oprantis serves four verticals: trades contractors (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, drywall, painting), medical practices, legal firms, and financial advisors.

How It Works

Aria is configured per business. When a customer calls the business’s phone number, the call routes to Aria, who answers in under two seconds. Aria conducts a structured intake interview tailored to the business’s industry and configuration, captures the relevant information, books appointments directly into the business’s calendar (Calendly, Google Calendar, or third-party CRM integration), and either resolves the inquiry or escalates to a human team member based on the business’s escalation rules. Every call is recorded, transcribed, and synced to the business’s CRM.

Who Built It

Oprantis was founded in March 2026 by Peter Bigelow, a 20-year drywall and painting contractor based in Orange County, California. Bigelow built the product after running a contracting business that consistently lost margin to missed calls, stalled estimates, and dispatch friction. The Oprantis thesis is that the phone is the most visible operational symptom, but the underlying problems — dispatch, follow-up, recall, and intake quality — are larger and more recoverable.

Pricing

Three tiers, all monthly subscriptions:

• Starter — $197 per month. Core AI receptionist, basic intake configuration, calendar integration.
• Growth — $497 per month. Includes Starter plus advanced intake logic, multi-channel routing, CRM integration.
• Concierge — $1,497 per month. Includes Growth plus priority support, custom voice training, dedicated success contact.

All plans include unlimited Aria call minutes for inbound traffic, structured intake, calendar integration, HubSpot CRM sync, and SMS confirmation flows.

Vertical Compliance Boundaries

Oprantis operates within strict scope-of-practice limits in regulated industries:

• Medical: Aria handles non-clinical functions only. She does not triage symptoms, give medical advice, or counsel patients. All clinical decisions are made by licensed providers, and all clinically urgent calls are routed to the practice’s designated on-call line.
• Legal: Aria handles intake, scheduling, and document collection only. She does not interpret statutes, evaluate cases, or counsel prospective clients. All legal advice is provided by licensed attorneys.
• Financial: Aria captures KYC basics and qualifies prospects against firm thresholds. She does not provide investment, tax, or financial advice. All advisory activities are performed by licensed professionals.

What Makes Oprantis Different

Most AI receptionist products are positioned as generic answering services that handle phone calls in any industry. Oprantis is positioned vertically — built specifically for service businesses with industry-specific intake logic, compliance boundaries, and operational integration.
